Founded Hernö Gin in 2011 with the support from family and friends. Today both his parantes work in the distillery as well as his twin sister. Jon is secretly in love with two warm and huge copper ladies.
A political scientist who decided to follow his passion to start distilling gin inspired by the Swedish nature. With a craving for nosing and tasting gins he enjoys (almost) everything that contains gin.
Elin Sahlman – Head of Paper and People
Responsible for contacts and sales regarding Swedish on and off trade. Elin takes care of everything from logistics to finance and administration. She is also very keen on gin without tonics, when not teaching her twin brother Jon, things in general.
Johan Wester – Chief Intelligence Officer
Responsible for our Visitor Centre, gin events and collaborations. Does everything in his power to make your visit to Hernö as enjoyable as possible. Keeps track and analyzes gin statistics when not sipping his favorite cocktail Last Word. Johan is also President in The Last Word Guild. Want to visit us? – Johan is your guy.
Marléne Nilsén – Chief of Visual Content
A dreamer and capturer of light, with roots in the northern forests. Born in the region of Jämtland and based in Östersund. A photographer and an artist who loves fairy tales and mist. Her inspiration comes from the nature and people she meets on the road.
Yvonne and Leif – Chiefs of Behind the Scenes
Responsible for corking, labeling and batch writing, as well as everything else practical needed to be done. They started their distillery career when already retired from a long working life. An essential and vital part of the team at Hernö.
Magnus Ernstsson – Head of Customer Experience and Travel Retail
Starts working full time at Hernö in May.
Takes care of Hernö’s presence at fairs and expos. Working hard to make sure that you can buy Hernö Gin on boats and airports. If you are very lucky you might catch him at a cocktail bar when he is out and about and enjoying a Hernö Flip or basically anything with gin.

Emil Åreng – Chief of First Impressions
