The International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) is the most prestigious, longest running, and largest spirits competition in the world. We are delighted to announce that Hernö Gin has won one GOLD and two SILVER medals this year.
Founded in 1969, the IWSC is considered to be the most prestigious competition of its kind in the world, and this year is celebrating its 45th anniversary.
The awards given by the competition are believed to be among some of the highest honours in the industry. Judging for the Competition is unique in that it has two stages; first, the products are tasted blind by expert panels, selected from over 300 fully experienced and qualified industry judges. Then, products which receive the top medals are subject to technical analysis before results are released; this crucial stage ensures winners receive complete validation.
At the competition Hernö Gin received three medals:
Hernö Juniper Cask Gin was awarded GOLD
Hernö Navy Strength Gin was awarded SILVER
Hernö Swedish Excellence Gin was awarded SILVER.
This follows last month achievement at Gin Masters 2014, arranged by the world’s largest trade magazine The Spirits Business, where a total of 74 different gin brands participated. Hernö Gin was for the second year in a row the most awarded gin with a total of six medals.
