Hernö Gin is the world’s leading and most awarded craft gin producer. Proud pioneers who started the first gin distillery in Sweden back in 2011. The distillery is situated on the countryside, in the small village Dala, near Härnösand. Inspired by the nature and the beauty of Dala, Hernö Gin is created with eight organic botanicals from all over the world, organic spirit made from Swedish winter wheat and water from our own well in Dala, naturally filtered by a geology created during ice age.
To achieve maximum flavour Hernö Gin is not chill filtered. The result is a round and smooth taste, distinct juniper character, fresh citrus notes and a unique floral compexity. Rich in flavour. Sippable. Elegant. All gins created by Hernö Gin are so palatable that they are perfect to enjoy neat.
When Jon Hillgren started Hernö Gin, he wanted to create something new. There were a lot of gins on the market at the time, the traditional type with lots of juniper, that he really love, and he wanted to create that type of gin, but with more identity: More berries, a more fruity touch and more floral notes.
This is what we still do at the distillery. Every day we go to work to create world's best gin, a created with passion and a gin that we feel ourselves that this is world's best gin, this i a gin that we love and would like to drink.
