Visit the distillery for a gin tasting
You’re welcome to visit Hernö Gin distillery for a gin tasting. All our gin tastings are for prebooking to ensure the very best experience and will be held in Swedish.
You will learn the story of Hernö Gin, our products and the botanicals that are essential to the very special character of the most awarded gin in the world. You will taste five different gins and get an insight in what different factors that are influencing nose and palate of the gin. We will tell you all about how we came in to crafting gin, how we make the world’s most awarded gin and also help you discover the wonderful world of different gins.

Stay at Hernö Gin Hotell
The distillery is located on the countryside, about ten minutes by car from the city of Härnösand and the experience hotel - Hernö Gin Hotell. The hotel offer dining with a northern touch at the signature restaurant, Southside, crafted cocktails at the exclusive gin bar and relaxation at Stillery Relax & Poolclub.
The hotel is set to open on February 9, 2025, but bookings are already available.
Conference & meetings
At Hernö Gin we offer conference facilities in the heart of our production. Our venues at our distillery can accommodate both large and small groups. Our bar in Stockholm offers a chambre separée for smaller meetings in a cozy environment.

Get to Hernö Gin Distillery
The easiest way to get to the distillery is by car. If you’re attending a tasting, don’t drink and drive. Call a cab. Use the code 38800 for a fixed price to and from Härnösand or Sundsvall with Sverigetaxi.

Treat yourself with a Gin Weekend, staying at Hotell Höga Kusten
Together with Hotell Höga Kusten, a riverside hotel with spectacular view in The High Coast of Sweden, we’re offering Gin Weekends. You will check in at the hotel before bus transfer to Hernö Gin distillery where you will participate in a gin tasting. Back at the hotel you will have dinner at the hotels restaurant with live music, sleep well and have a really nice breakfast next morning.

Frequently asked questions
Can you attend a tasting without drinking gin?
Absolutely! We’ll set everything up for you, and you can still follow along in the tasting by smelling the gin to learn about its different characteristics.
Can you eat and drink at the distillery before or after the tasting?
On specific occasions, our bistro is open for food and drinks. During the summer, we are open every day for about 10 weeks. Outside of that period, we do not offer food or drink service in connection with our tastings. For larger groups, it may be possible to open our bistro just for you. Please contact us to inquire.
How old do you need to be to attend a tasting?
The age limit for our tastings is 18 years.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are not allowed in the tasting room. However, during the summer, there are designated outdoor areas near the tasting location where your dog can wait.
I have a gift card. How do I book a tasting?
You can use Hernö Gin gift cards (not gift cards from Hernö Gin Hotell). To book with a gift card, email us at [email protected]. Please include the tasting date, gift card number, your name, and mobile number in the email.
